On Fridays I share things that made me happy from the week - a photo, a song, a quote, a beauty product, a recipe, a pair of cute shoes, etc. If it's a product, sometimes it's something I actually own and sometimes something I just saw online that gave me a smile. Sometimes it's serious and sometimes it's silly. I suppose I believe that God is in the simple details of life and yes, I can even find Him in a tube of lipstick.
Hello! I started writing this on a Wednesday in Ashburn, Virginia where we came to stay at my brother-in-law’s house after we left Nashville where we stayed at my son, Kyle’s house. I was trying to finish it up last night when I was in Richmond, Virginia to see Leanne Morgan (!!! EEEK !!!) with one of my besties. And IF it even gets sent out today it will likely be from Virginia Beach, Virginia where we are headed for a wedding this weekend.

I understand. Let’s get to some favorite things from the week that do not include my third week of living out of a suitcase.
A Pear Martini at Trattoria Il Mulino in Nashville
On Friday night we went to Trattoria Il Mulino - an amazing Italian restaurant in Nashville. I had a Pear Martini which might go down in history as the best drink of my life. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in Nashville. The Goat Cheese Ravioli was a winner, too.
2.Ranger Station Oak Moss Candle
If you’ve been reading this newsletter for awhile, you know I’m a sucker for a candle and Ranger Station makes some great ones. I got the Oak Moss candle in Nashville at one of my favorite gift shops, White’s Mercantile. I think it will be a perfect scent for the fall. Once you’ve burned the candle down, you can clear out the remaining wax and the container makes a great whiskey glass.
3.Striped Short Sleeve Crew Neck Tee
This is such a cute striped tee and it comes in so many color combinations. I like the trim on the sleeve, too.
4.The Cashmere Hoops by Park Lane
These silver hoops from Park Lane have the prettiest texture and detail. I’ve worn them a ton this summer and they’re very lightweight and a perfect size.
5.Fun with My People in Nashville
I’m writing number 5 from The Graduate hotel in Richmond. 5 stars for this hotel. by the way. Truth be told, I have no deep thoughts to offer. I guess my thoughts have been scattered across the country these past several weeks as we’ve traveled around. So here are some photos from my favorite part of the week - being in Nashville with my gang. As my grandmom would say, we sho’ nuff had a big time.
